TAKE REALLY GOOD CARE
More than diet culture recovery,Â
a homecoming to your whole Self.
Are you hungry for freedom?
In a world where chronic dieting and daily over indulgence is simultaneously glorified, it makes sense to struggle.
When we’re inundated with shaming messages to lose weight & take care of our health, while simultaneously drowning in advertisements for health-eroding processed foods that are designed to make us constantly crave more, it’s normal to feel confused.
But instead of being met with validation and compassion, we’re blamed for being lazy or lacking willpower and taught to internalize this criticism and shame.
This approach is irrevocably broken.
But that doesn’t mean you’re destined to suffer forever.
You can live free from:
- Constant dieting & calorie restriction.
- Forcing yourself to exercise when you’re exhausted.
- Overeating to the point of discomfort.
- Emotional eating.
- Cycles of restriction & binging.
- Harsh inner criticism & self-hate.
- Yo-yo dieting.
Imagine how delicious it will feel to...
- Eat until you're satisfied at every meal without guilt.
- Trust that you will never binge again. Ever.
- Confidently follow your innate appetite.
- Be naturally motivated to exercise.
- Stay consistently centered and content with yourself.
- Be unshakable, knowing you have the tools to navigate any emotion with grace and ease.
- Find freedom from harmful coping mechanisms, self-criticism, and ineffective bright-siding.Â
Diet Culture sucks the joy and vitality from our lives.
Â
Mainstream “wellness” culture is based on toxic positivity and dismissive, overly simplistic gimmicks that can leave us feeling hopelessly broken.

Diet Culture v. Embodied Health
How do you want to live your one and only life?
Diet Culture
- Your body is the enemy.
- Focused on weight loss, glow ups, and fixing what's "wrong" with you.
- Appetite can't be trusted.
- Feeling tired is a sign of weakness or lack of commitment.
- Diet plan determines how much you're allowed to eat.
- Calories burned are maximized; your workout has to reach a certain number.
- All calories are equal
- Decisions are made by external others (meal plan, diet book, etc).
- Someone else determines exercise needs (personal trainer, fitness blogger, magazine, etc).
- External goals focused on weight, body shape, and appearance dominate.
- Exercise is prioritized over rest, which is a sign of "laziness."
- "Failure" is punished.
- Harsh criticism and shame are leveraged as motivation.
- Self-rejection and self-criticism dominate.
- Outcome is a success OR failure, there's no nuance.
- Feels like you're permanently dieting and struggling to "control" or make up for intermittent binges.
- Listen to the advice of "experts." If you struggle, you're "resistant" or "lazy."
Embodied Health
- Your body is a source of wisdom and your best teacher.
- Focused on wellness, balance, and your quality of life.
- Appetite is a trustworthy guide.
- Feeling tired is a sign of needing more nourishment, more rest, or better rest.
- Appetite dominates how much you eat (of foods that work with your appetite, not against it).
- Calories burned are irrelevant; you move your body for as long as it feels joyful.
- Calories from processed foods are metabolized differently from whole foods.
- Decisions are made from internal guidance.
- Internal urge to move your body initiates exercise.
- Internal, values-informed goals focus on quality of life & wellbeing dominate.
- Movement and rest are balanced.
- Struggles are met with compassion.
- Celebration, praise, and self-devotion create delicious self-perpetuating progress.
- Self-acceptance and self-compassion become reflexes.
- Acceptance of struggles is met with a Growth Mindset.
- Natural ebb & flow of appetite over days, weeks, months, and seasons.
